Our Story
I started Cityflow Plumbing in 2009 after ten years working as a plumber for a large regional contractor. I enjoyed the work, but I kept coming home frustrated. Jobs were rushed, callbacks were ignored, and customers were often charged for time rather than results.
I wanted to do things properly. That meant showing up when I said I would, pricing jobs honestly upfront, and not leaving a property until I was genuinely satisfied with what I'd done. I started with one van and a handful of local customers who were willing to give a new name a try.
Fifteen years on, we're a team of four. We still work exclusively across Manchester and Greater Manchester. We've never chased volume for its own sake. Small enough to care; experienced enough to handle anything.
Our Journey
- 2009
Founded Cityflow Plumbing
Started as a sole trader with one van and a Gas Safe registration, working out of Manchester city centre.
- 2011
Second van on the road
Demand outgrew one vehicle. Hired our first apprentice and extended our coverage across all of Greater Manchester.
- 2014
Worcester Bosch accreditation
Became an accredited Worcester Bosch installer, enabling us to offer extended manufacturer warranties on qualifying boiler installations.
- 2019
500th completed installation
Our 500th boiler installation. A milestone that marked a decade of work we're genuinely proud of across Manchester.
- 2024
15 years in Manchester
Same team, same values, same phone number. Still building on the reputation we started with in 2009.

Gas Safe Registered
All our engineers are on the Gas Safe Register, the official UK body for gas work. You can verify our registration at any time on the Gas Safe website.
Worcester Bosch Accredited
As accredited installers, we can offer enhanced manufacturer warranties on qualifying Worcester Bosch boiler installations, backed by the manufacturer directly.
CIPHE Member
Members of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering. We stay current with industry regulations and best practice so our customers don't have to.
